It is the mission of Flight101, through participation in organized athletics, to help young athletes develop to their fullest potential regardless of athletic ability.  However, that  potential is not limited to athletic achievement our goal is to help young athletes develop their potential both socially and academically as well.

 

In order to help our athletes  learn and appreciate the value of education and maintaining high academic standards, at the beginning of the season each athlete is required to provide a copy of their report card.  At the end of the season we recognize those athletes who have maintained a G.P.A of 3.0 or better as "High Flying Scholars" at our awards program.

 

In 2011 we hosted the First Annual Harper-Trawick Track and Field Classic.  Named in honor of long-time program supporters Anne and Walter Harper and former Assistant Coach James "Sonny" Trawick,  proceeds from this event go to support a scholarship fund for graduating senior athletes  going on to college.
